Man's Best Friend

We got Payton about a year and a half ago. You just can't give up a free dog can you? Well we didn't and we brought him home. The kid's were so excited to get a dog. We haven't had to much luck with dog's needless to say. Payton soon became the boy's best friend. He would run and jump on them knocking them down at times. He had way to much energy sometimes. He was a lab/boarder collie mix and the boarder collie part of him is what got him into trouble. Over the past few months he started to get really aggressive and had to be chained up. He would bark and growl at people who would come to the house. We had a lot of people tell us that he really scared them. If he wasn't on his leash he would go after people. One day he bite one of our boy scouts. Not a good idea to keep a dog around that bites. While taking to the neighbor today Tracen found out that he tried to go after a gentleman and it was a good thing that he was chained up or he could have been seriously hurt. With great hesitation Tracen had to get rid of him. It was one of the hardest things he has had to do in a long time. The second hardest thing he had to do was tell his sons. There was not a dry eye while he was telling them. Holden our most tender hearted of the four is having a really hard time with this bad news. We told them that maybe we will have to get a small house dog. We will have to wait and see what happens.

  1. Okay, so now I feel really guilty about him scaring me the other day...I'm a poophead.
