3 A's

I have been attending USU this past semester. It has been a whole new experience for me. I have put many hours into my studies and it has paid off. I GOT 3 A's! Wow, I am so excited and to tell you the truth I can't believe it:) I have registered for another semester, I am taking 9 credits again. Once again it will be a challenge. I am working full time and the kids will also be back in school. So, good luck to me and hopefully I can pull off 3 more of these beautiful looking alphabet.

First Tour Ride

Saturday Tracen and I rode in the ULCER. This ride was my first official road tour. I was quite anxious and I didn't want to do this 60 mile ride on my own. Tracen the sweetheart that he is sacrificed doing his 111 mile ride and rode with me instead. It was quite a cool day to begin with an the weather was not cooperative. The wind blew and made it quite challenging. We had a great time talking with each other and targeting our next road kills:) Tracen pushes me and encourages me every time I ride with him. He is such a great coach and I learn a lot from him every time we ride. I look forward to our rides and am having a great time training for the LOTOJA with him:) Thanks sweetheart, I love you!

Glitter Tootsies

Last night I went to Logan with my best friend Amy Priestley and we had a wonderful pedicure. We also got ACRYLIC GLITTER TOES! This is the new craze this year and it is so cute and fun. I got the BRIGHT YELLOW SUNSHINE glitter and Amy did her's CINNAMON RED. My friend Danielle and her co-worker Janessa did them for us. They did a fabulous job! Amy, Dani and myself went to dinner after at Costa Vida and had a great time chatting. What a fun way to spend an evening; awesome friends, great chatting, good food. Can't wait to do it again!:)

ChOkEcHeRry PiCkIn'

Monday Tracen and I went on a 30 mile bike ride. On our ride we came upon a PLETHORA of chokecherry trees. I remember as a child picking these tart berries and than my mom magically turning them into a YUMMY syrup! I took Caleb and Chase with me today to pick these berries. Caleb did a really good job. He helped for a while and then got tired so he decided to play a little. He than came back and helped some more. Chase on the other hand got BORED really fast and found BETTER things to do. While Chase was helping he asked me if he had to pick the "GRUMPY" ones. I was like "what"? He said "you know the wrinkly ones". I started to laugh. I told him that we didn't want the "GRUMPY" ones, they were old. We picked for two hours and the boys had their fill. I will be heading back again real soon in hopes that I can bottle as much of this juice, so we can enjoy this yummy syrup this winter on fresh HOT pancakes.

Chokecherry Syrup- my mom's recipe
1 cup of juice
1 cup of sugar
1 tbls. corn syrup

Bring juice and sugar to a boil, don't forget to stir it. Once it starts to boil take off heat and add corn syrup. Stir really good and let cool a little before you use it. Store remaining syrup in fridge.

HP 6

Last night I took Holdie, Caleb and Chaser to Harry Potter-The half blood prince. It was your typical spells, potions, wizards movie. It has been a while since I read this book, so once the movie got going I remembered what it was about. Holden thought it was a great show, the other two slept through parts of it. Wyatt is at scout camp this week and Tracen had to work. Now that finals are over I thought I would treat the kids to a show. I have missed a few of them due to the fact that I was taking exams when Tracen would take them. I have three weeks to catch up and than it will be back to the books. It was nice to be able to spend some time with the kids and we had a great movie night. Thanks for the date boys...love ya! Mom:)

Holden's First Race!

Saturday Tracen, Holden and I participate in the Winward Physical Therapy Biathlon. This race was Holden's first race. He did AWESOME! He was the youngest athlete there. He had to race against 18 year old kids, talk about a stupid age division spread. So, of course he didn't win. Had they had a 10-14 age group, he totally WON! He ran and biked the whole thing in 1 hr 27 mins., What a TROOPER! Tracen ran and rode with him, what an awesome dad! Tracen really thinks that he could have won his age division this year. He is a pretty good runner but even a better biker. He figures where he fell short on the run he would have killed them on the bike. As for me, I ran and rode it this year too( first time on my own). It took me 1 hr 24 mins...not to bad for my first biathlon:) We had a great time and will defiantly get Holden ready to race kids his own age for next year!

ToOtH FaIrY

Last week Chase went to the Dentist, he had a cavity and a filling that had fallen out. I was really nervous about him going all together. Last time he had any work done he had to be taken to the hospital and put out due to the fact that he was NOT going to COOPERATE! I usually go into the room with the kids but this time I opted out. I let him go by himself, he didn't even care. Jeenie(the assistant) let him pick a movie to watch and the nitrous soon followed. He was in HEAVEN. He had to get a shot and I didn't even hear him cry! He was such a big boy! I was so proud of him. He had three teeth fixed and his front bottom tooth was loose, so they wiggled it out for him. He didn't even know. He brought his tooth home and you guessed it, he put it under his pillow. Holden also lost one of his molars that day and he put it under his pillow too (this one I didn't know was under the pillow...oops!) The tooth fairy found Chases tooth but left Holden's behind. Three days later Holden came and told me that the STUPID tooth fairy STILL hadn't come and left him money. I thought HOLY CRAP! I didn't even know it was there. So I told him that she has been really busy and she would be sure to get it tonight. Tracen and I went to bed about midnight and as I was drifting off I TOTALY remebered. Tracen and I got up and SEARCHED all over the house for a dollar. We couldn't even find enough change just sitting around. You won't believe what this tooth fairy had to do. We had to BORROW a dollar in change form Chase ( he has no clue, but yes, we have replaced it) in order to leave Holden money for his tooth! Yes, we laughed so hard. Holden woke up the next morning with change in hand and he was happy. Talk about tooth fairy drama. Anyone else had to borrow money from their kids in order to pay another?
