Last week Caleb participated in the third grade science fair. You gotta love it! It is so fun to see all the creative science experiments that this age group comes up with. Caleb choose to make rock candy. This was an easy assignment for the most part. The great thing about science is the lessons that can be learned. Our first attempt didn't work so we had to mix it up a little. The next attempt worked like a charm! His class mates kept asking him if they could eat it. Caleb told them no, but as soon as he got home he devoured them. We have to give the recipe to the kids when we get off Spring Break. You can never go wrong with making CANDY!
This was our first attempt. Sucker sticks not a great idea. Butcher string was the ticket!

ReplyDeleteHe is so cute! I really do think that we need to get some prearranged marriages for all my girls and all your boys. Seriously, wouldn't that be fun if we did have two get married!!!
