The gopher hunters turned in the Gopher kill paper to Grandpa Winward this week. The hay has gotten to tall to catch the gophers now. Grandpa was impressed to say the least. He is 66 gophers less in his hay field. Yes, I know that this is a small number in comparison to what is really out there but they had a lot of fun catching them. He gave the boys a Benjamin Franklin and they were excited! Come to find out when the boys were up getting payed by Grandpa the neighbor right next to us was there also. He saw what was going on and was IMPRESSED with the boys hard work and is going to hire them to catch his gophers when he cuts his hay. The kids will be VERY busy trying to thin out the gophers not only in Grandpa's field but in the Lee's field also. They are excited for the hay to be cut so they can get back to work. Even though this is the last cut of hay Grandpa and the Lee's still want the gophers caught, so the boys will be busy until it gets cold. So, it pays to be a GOPHER HUNTER:)

66=Ben

ReplyDeleteLOL_ That is so great!! We dont have gophers out here in our fields so this was so new to me. How funny that he hates them so bad he pays his grandsons to kill! That is so funny! Love it!!
